The East Hants Annual Volleyball Picnic

Once again it is time for the annual East Hants Volleyball Tournament. We have been fortunate yet again to secure the venue of the Bordon and Oakhanger Sports Club (formerly Bordon Officers' Sports Club) - one of the most picturesque, secluded and cosy tournament venues in the volleyball tournament calendar. Facilties, as usual, will include barbecue, bar and changing rooms.

This year we will be breaking with tradition by running the tournament over two days!

On the Saturday we will be running a beach style, 2-a-side "King and Queen of the Court" competition. Pools will consist of 5 individuals (you don't need a partner to enter), and 2 rounds.

The charge for entry to the Saturday competition is £5.00 per person. Further details on how this competition can be obtained from Tony.

The Sunday tournament will follow a similar format to that of previous years. In the morning teams will be randomly divided into pools. Each team will play each other team in the pool. Your position in the morning pool will determine the pool you enter in the afternoon, where you should be playing against teams of a similar standard. There will be a prize for the winners of each of the aftenoon pools.

Entry to the Sunday tournament has been maintained at a cost of £30.00 per team which must be paid in advance.

Once again there will be a buffet and disco on the Saturday, with overnight camping available for those who want to attend. There will be a small additional chargeof £7.00 per person for this, but this will easily be offset by the price of drinks!
